Sacha & Matt

I was asked to make a wedding cake for the brother of a good friend, they got married last weekend, and were very happy with their cake!

Was lovely to make a more 'traditional' style wedding cake, with bride & Groom, and pillars! The flowers are all hand made by me, using gumpaste & the 3 cakes are decorated with fondant garrett frills & piped royal icing

 Hope you like it x

Mum's Birthday cake

OK, that's enough of the oldies, right up to date now, this is my most recent creation, for my lovely Mum's birthday last week, its a 6" fruit cake, vintage inspired in pale green, vintage pink & cream, with gumpaste roses, butterflies & pears, edged with sugarpaste ivy leaves. Then underneath there are 21 matching Cupcakes, it was yummy!!

Better not leave my son's out!!

Good Old Stewie Griffin!! Made this for my oldest son's 21st, and it is one of my favourite character cakes!!

My Youngest son, being the gaming freak that he is wanted a Super Mario cake, so here it is, with Cupcakes too. I did 'Google' the get the idea but not sure who made the 'original' but a big thank you if it was you!!

Another computer game inspired cake, this one is called vault Boy, never heard of him? I hadn't but what Sam want's Sam gets!! LOL. Bit worried what he is going to ask for this year though!

Some more of my Daughters

I made this cake for my daughters 5th Birthday (I think it was her 5th, 10 years ago, seems like yesterday!!) , It took me hours! but I was really impressed with how it turned out.
The main part of the cake was cooked in a 6" round cake tin, then the smaller parts were cooked in 4" tin & empty food cans (baked beans, not cat food!!) with the tops & bottoms removed.

Abbie (my daughter) designed this one herself, it was a few years ago, and a last minute dash to the shop for the fabric butterflies, I coloured the sugarpaste using powdered colouring as I couldn't find a paste bright enough, and the shop didn't stock ready coloured icing. Very simple but effective design!!
